Unfortunetely, Hachi: A Dog’s Tale is officially being release only on DVD and Blu-Ray, and Amazon.Com is already listing the DVD & Blu-Ray releases for the movie on March 9th 2010.

It’s a shame this movie is not being release in theatres in the USA 😦 Luckly, I have already seen this movie 4 times!!

Now it’s really confused: First, we all were informed that Hachi: A Dog’s Tale would be release in USA only in DVD and Blu-Ray. But now, searching in the internet, I found at RottenTomatoes.Com the following:

Theatrical Release:Jan 16, 2010 Limited

Well, now all that is left is wait for official news. 🙂

Plus, Hachi will be shown in a free screening in DC area. You can read more about it clicking here!

“Hachiko: A Dog’s Story” has now an official release date IN DVD – March 9 2010.

Plus, on December 13 (my birthday hahaha) Women’s Health from March 2009 arrived in my house. Sarah is so beautiful, as usual! I will upload scans as soon as I can!

“Hachiko: A Dog’s Story” straight to DVD

An IMDB.Com user called Consolidated Pictures Group, “Hachiko” former USA distributor. He created a topic in Hachiko’s board, here’s what he said:

ok I called Consolidated Pictures Group, talked to a guy who works there with at the studios.. here’s what he said…

– He said when Consolidated Pictures Group was attached to distribute the movie, they didn’t have enough time or money to get the word out ahead of time. He said it would have cost them 20 million or more for marketing..

…and he said takes five months in planning ahead of time to get the word out..trailers, poster..etc..

– so they gave the rights to Sony Pictures.. […]

[…] * – Sony Pictures is attached to Hachiko now and will be putting an exclusive DVD at WALMART ONLY in January, before it goes to other rental and dvd stores…

I’m EXTREMELY disappointed with it! Hachiko is an excellent movie, it doesn’t deserve to have a straight-to-dvd release in the USA.

“Hachiko” information

We all know that Sarah’s upcoming movie “Hachiko: A Dog’s Story” starring Richard Gere and Joan Allen was pushed to March 2010, and that Consolidated Pictures Group is the movie’s distribuitor from United States.

But now, CPG is NO LONGER distribuiting it. It’s really a pity. I hope someone picks it up soon.
